Kathy is a self-employed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She started her athletic career at age 14. Kathy excelled in long distance running and completed her first marathon within the same year of her inauguration to the sport of running. Running, however, would not be all that defined her athletic abilities. By her Senior year in high school, Kathy had participated in basketball, swimming, and track. For extracurricular competition, she competed in all forms of water skiing. Kathy would continue her pursuit of endurance racing. Her focus was triathlons; however, a twist of fate would introduce her to mountain biking. Kathy was a natural for mountain biking. Her natural athleticism combined with her competitiveness propelled her into professionally sponsored racing (within 1 and a half years). Her affiliation was with BMW--Proflex. Having retired from professional cycling, Kathy continues her expertise in endurance events by competing in the Big Sur Marathon, Dallas Whiterock Marathon, and most recently, adventure racing. Kathy is a proud mother of 2 sons (19 years and 15 years). Her oldest son is part of the Texas Aggie Fightin' Class of '04. © 2002 ColdBlueSteel design concepts |
